Did you ever think how beautiful a medium Lily would be in Darwin leather? Well this may be as close as you'll get!!

So much lovelier than the more newly released Legacy Oak, it's crafted from a richly seasoned, thick, characterful and wonderfully robust, original NVT hide.

A piece will just get better and better with age, use and care.

Details-

A fabulously thick hide with a solid construction, the silhouette is very gently softened (see photo when empty), but its holds its shape well and is going to take a considerable amount more use to relax into a supple or slouchy piece.

The leather is utterly stunning. Entirely without wear, just lots of lovely natural creases, veins and striations which adds to the attractiveness and charm of the bag. An amazingly rich oak tone with oodles of character, its developed a beautiful, deep yet even patina throughout. All corners and curves are excellent with just a smattering of dark dots and minor burnishing to the upper RH side of the flap, next to the inner side of the D ring. The expected fingernail scuffs, which form a part of the inherent nature of vegetable tanned leather, have all blended entirely, making it a perfectly broken-in piece which you'll never need to baby.

All stitching strong and inking (edge sealent) in place with just the inevitable small flex ravines to each sides where the flap hinges.

There are lots of light surface scratches to the Postmans Lock Plate with a few dot 'dinks' from contact with the chain. Minor friction rubbing around the perimeters of the underside plates from contact and slight paling to the end of the turnlock.

The reason for the *notation is due to the finish loss to the two top D rings, that house the chain. Caused by friction, the soft gold finish has worn to reveal a silvery tone beneath. Shown with the zoom in the Gallery above, to the naked eye its almost completely invisible.

The interwoven chain and leather shoulder strap is excellent.

Lined in clean, ruffled, soft brown microfibre.
